I would like to take the opportunity to share with you some of Zurich's latest news and insights.

Here, we discuss the Zurich Claims Commitment and its benefits; sustainable solutions for global economics risks; and how to drive risk management discussions. We also take a look at fiduciary duties from a cyber perspective, and how boards can take the lead on cyber resilience.

In Australia and New Zealand we’re continuing on our path to become much more customer-focused; listening to the customer, understanding and meeting their needs. Over the last 18 months we’ve concentrated on simplifying our engagement with brokers and focussed our resources on growing our business together.

We’re committed to attracting the best talent to complement existing skills - including David Abbott, Claudio Lupieri and Vince Banton as Construction Underwriters. Additionally, we have welcomed Jason Henry as a Liability Underwriting Manager. Within our Customer Relationship Management team, Jane Holling and David Haberland have been appointed as Global Relationship Leaders.

These appointments reaffirm our commitment to providing the highest quality relationship management.

In June 2017, Zurich Australian Insurance Limited became the underwriter for leading travel insurance provider, Cover-More in Australia and New Zealand. This new association will strengthen our travel insurance offering in Australia and New Zealand, as well as presenting further opportunities for diversified product and distribution offerings, while remaining true to our intermediated broker model.

Our new local strategy and focus has been designed to position Zurich as the insurer of choice. We‘re doing the hard work to build a solid platform, you, our broking partners are on this journey with us as we chart our success together.

Kind regards

Giles Crowley
